Wheel-thrown and faceted stoneware bowl by Warren MacKenzie (1924-2018), one of the most significant American potters of the 20th century. Rich tenmoku glaze with iron breaking over the faceted edges. MacKenzie studied under Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada and brought the Mingei tradition to America.
